Bulgaria is a land with a rich history. A land where you can still hear the echo of voices from ancient civilizations. From Thracian tombs and sanctuaries, through medieval monasteries, traditional crafts and folklore, to the magical and breathtaking caves. Each of these elements of the Bulgarian cultural heritage testifies to our resilience, creativity and irreconcilability.
One of these places - treasures of Bulgaria, is Magura Cave. It is a unique natural site and one of the largest and most important archaeological monuments in the country. Magura is a place where natural wonders and human history intertwine into one. On the one hand, in the cave we can learn more about the life of our ancestors - their way of life, culture and habits. On the other hand, it is a vivid example of the beauty of geological processes that have developed over time.
The main focus of the Foundation is to support and stimulate the development and affirmation of spiritual values and culture, and to develop and popularize the study of the cultural and historical heritage of Bulgaria.
We strongly believe that the preservation of the Bulgarian cultural heritage is not the job of scientists, archaeologists and historians alone - it is the duty of each of us. Every generation of Bulgarians has the responsible task of preserving and passing on the knowledge, traditions and values that have shaped us as a nation. The frescoes discovered on the walls of Magura are a priceless piece of our history, they connect us with our past and lead us to the future.
It is for this reason that our idea of creating a Tourist Information Center was born, in which to make a replica of the unique prehistoric drawings from the cave. The plan is to include a Prehistoric Art Center, a Museum of Prehistoric Man and numerous tourist attractions and entertainment. In this way, we guarantee that future generations will have the opportunity to experience the riches of Magura without destroying the original artifacts in it.
We view the preservation of Bulgarian cultural heritage not simply as an act of preserving artifacts, monuments and archaeological finds. For us, this is a cause whose goal is to maintain the spirit, identity and culture deeply rooted in our land.
For us, the implementation of the Tourist Information Center project is an investment in the future! A guarantee that this piece of history will not be lost. In this way, we pay tribute to the ancient people who once lived on these lands. People who developed, existed and prospered in conditions unthinkable for modern man.
