The Magura Cave Paintings are not just a frozen imprint of the past.
They are a living, dynamic cultural message that has been developing and building on for 8,000 years. Hundreds of generations have made sure that it reaches us.
Today, the baton is in our hands – we bear the responsibility to preserve this spiritual code and pass it on to future generations in a new, digital way.
To realize this vision, we are reviving the only large building in front of the cave. We are breathing new life into the Balkantourist restaurant, which has existed since 1964, and transforming it into a modern home for our heritage. There, through new technologies, we will present the Magura Cave Paintings in an interesting and captivating way.
In this important work – to build a bridge between prehistoric art and the technologies of the future – we are not alone. It would not be possible without the support of our heartfelt partners from the construction industry.
